Louis Spohr (1784-1859) was a German composer, violinist, conductor and teacher. He composed Symphonies, Violin Concertos, and chamber music; Duets for Violins, String Quartets/Quintets/Sextets, Piano Trios, and Nonets. He is famous as the inventor of violin chinrest.
